Clonal: offspring that are genetically identical to their parents, produced through asexual reproduction

Copepodid: free-swimming larval stage of copepods

Corona: crown-like portion at the top of a rotifer that contains cilia

 

Eutrophic: when nutrients in the water become overly abundant, causing a lack of oxygen present and an excess of aquatic plants and phytoplankton

Nauplii: the first larval stage of copepods
